ok first of all, I'd like to thank all the past and present helpers that have answered my questions. So here's more [yay?] :oshit:

Ok so my brother asked to borrow my netbook while I was away for 2 weeks [not really a good idea] he started downloading a game onto my netbook which I strongly advised not to... since I use my netbook mostly to type drafts for my university essay papers. After a while... the netbook just shutdown by itself and my brother... well kind of left it there while I was away for 2 weeks. I turned it back on by doing a hard boot [don't know if that's a proper term - by plugging a direct powersource and connecting to another computer after replacing the battery idk how to explain it but It just worked o_o]

[sorry for the long post but I didn't want to leave out any details]

I decided to buy a new netbook and just give my old one to him. So I'm just wondering what major and minor upgrades do I need to make it compatible with the game he wanted to play? [had to pay $720 for a new one with the backup and stuff since therez no optimal drive againT-T]

I know netbooks aren't really meant for GAMING [glares at my brother] but if he is going to get loads and loads of problems + viruses, etc. and leaving it there, itz better to give something used and old rather than to buy him a new laptop instead of a netbook.

system requirements
Windows 98(SE)/2000/XP/Vista.
800 MHz or faster processor speed.
128 Megabytes of RAM.
Video Accelerator Card (for 3D graphics) with 16MB RAM or higher.
1 Gigabyte of free hard drive space.
Internet connection with 56 Kbps or faster connection speed.
DirectX 8.1 or higher with compliant video and sound card.

Old netbook
Microsoft Windows XP Home edition [check]
Intel[R] Atom[TM]
CP N270 @ 1.60GHz
1.60GHz 0.99 GB of RAM
Mobile Intel[R] 945 Express Chipset Family

the rest idk how to check... I major in arts and music so not really a computer type person sorry again for the trouble [now if you'll excuse me I'm going to hit my brother with a pillowcase full of bricks]
